BENEFITS OF BRAZING

  • Easier to join two different metals.
  • Works great for joining small parts.
  • The joint is smoother and more attractive.
  • Creates a strong joint that becomes stronger as the metals are joined.
  • Base metals are not melted and generally retain their original properties.

  • In the brazing process, metal components are joined when molten filler metal flows into a joint. This is done at high heat, however, not higher than the melting point of the metals that will be combined as it does during the welding process. As it cools the molten filler metal creates a strong joint between the metals. Brazing is a process suited for industries such as auto parts where differenent types of metals are joined.
